Princess Nylah and the Journey to the Magic Window is over all an awe-inspiring children’s musical. It runs as a playful dance between humor and self-realization. It is a complex, beautiful, and important play for development African American children. The play was able to tackle a heavy weight topic like Leukemia in a fun and carefree manner while still providing its relevance to the story. This only plays as the underlier to Nylah’s main theme which is finding your own magic. Nylah and her friends Mr. Whoser an Imani journey comes to a triumphant arc when Imani is finally able to find her magic. Princess Nylah is a visually stunning masterpiece that will leave you laughing, crying and dancing. It is a brilliant masterpiece of intellectual artwork.
